Le Touquet's premier golf facilities
Due to its close proximity to Calais, the beautiful scenery, choice of stunning golf courses and the superb range of hotels, Le Touquet makes the ideal base for a relaxing short break golfing holiday. Le Touquet has long been much admired and is well established as a destination for many golf enthusiasts travelling from the UK.
Within just 20 minutes of the town there are 5 excellent golf courses to choose from. Thought by many as the 'crème de la crème' the 'La Mer' is a links style golf course set amongst the sand dunes, small trees and coarse grasses of the coast. Host to 6 French opens and the French amateur championships it's around 6300 yards long and par 73. A seriously demanding course right from the first tee.
The relatively flat 'La Foret' golf course offers you both an easier and calmer option, located amongst the delightful pine forest surrounding Le Touquet. Still a challenging course but not so demanding as 'La Mer' - 6300 yards par 71. The 9 hole Le Manoir golf course is situated just across a quiet road opposite the delightful and highly recommended 'Le Manoir Hotel'. A good course for beginners, for warming up and of course, for perfecting your swing.
Further up the coast, just 20 minutes drive from Le Touquet are the two Hardelot Golf courses - Les Pins and Les Dunes. Hardelot is an ideal base for golfers with these two fine golf courses just a mile or so apart, one course each side of the very small town centre. Add to that two of the best hotels in the region the Hotel Du Parc 3 star and the Regina 2 star and you've got everything to hand. The 'Les Pines' course runs through superb forest is just under 6500 yards long and par 72. The modern 'Les Dunes' course, 6600 yards par 73, has been thoughtfully designed by a Belgian architect and will prove to be both challenging and enjoyable. Minimum handicap required for both Hardelot courses - 'Les Pine's ladies 32, gentlemen 28 and 'Les Dunes' 36 for both (certificates required).
